Workforce Development Roadshow – Western Maryland Tickets, Tue, Oct 29, 2024 at 9:00 AM | Eventbrite
OVERVIEW
The Maryland Apprenticeship Connector (MAC) is excited to launch the 2024 Workforce Roadshow, a series of in-person events designed to showcase the benefits of apprenticeship as a workforce solution. These events will focus on high school-level apprenticeships and provide valuable insights into the resources and incentives available to support employers and workforce development organizations across Maryland.
A primary resource to be introduced at these events is the newly launched website, macworkforce.org. The Apprentice Connect website, accessible at macworkforce.org, is a one-stop resource designed for three key audiences: career seekers, employers, and educators.
For career seekers, it offers a path to explore apprenticeship opportunities and gain a clear understanding of the skills and support needed to succeed. Employers can find critical information on how apprenticeships can be integrated into their talent pipeline strategies, helping them recruit, train, and retain a skilled workforce. Educators, meanwhile, can explore how work-based learning can be brought into the classroom to prepare students for career success, whether or not they pursue traditional college paths.
